Shaping a safer, sustainable and healthier future by redefining X-ray generation at the source.
CT.
Re-Architected.
From Mechanical Rotation to Static CT. STRETTA replaces conventional X-ray tubes architecture with a fully electronic multi-beam X-ray tube architecture.
Conventional CT systems generate X-rays by heating filaments and mechanically rotating a single source around the gantry. This conventional architecture has tremendous drawbacks regarding switching speed, system size and overall mechanical complexity.
STRETTA’s multi-beam X-ray technology uses electronically controlled room-temperature emitter arrays. By eliminating rotating components within the Gantry, emission can be switched within microseconds and controlled digitally which gives the freedom of any arbitrary scanning order. This enables new imaging modalities, reduced mechanical load and flexible OEM integration.
Architecture Impact
Applications enabled by X-ray on demand
STRETTA’s multi-beam architecture replaces conventional CT systems by eliminating core design limits. The multi-beam architecture enables even more features and functions through microsecond beam sequencing in any arbitrary order.
Engineered as an integrated system.
Through Stretta Integrated Systems (SIS), STRETTA delivers integrated subsystems combining multi-beam X-ray sources, electronic control systems, high-voltage generation and proprietary power platforms.
The SIS is designed for seamless OEM integration, scalable system architectures and long-term reliability across medical diagnostics, security screening, industrial inspection and defense applications.
Multi-Beam X-ray Source
Multi-beam X-ray sources operate at room-temperature and multiple individually addressable emitters. Electronic beam sequencing replaces the conventional x-ray source and mechanical rotation.
Control and Power Architecture
STRETTA’s control electronics and high-voltage generation are developed for precise emitter control and fast load changes. The modular design supports scalable integration into different CT platforms.
System Impact
Clear impact at system level.
The multi-beam architecture influences key CT system parameters, including switching dynamics, mechanical design and operational efficiency. Its impact is measurable at both subsystem and platform level.
Microsecond beam switching
The electronically controlled emission enables switching within microseconds. Beam sequencing is digitally controlled and enables a static Gantry design without any moving parts. This electronic controlled Gantry design provides a faster X-Ray source movement than a mechanically operated Gantry.
Static source architecture
The multi-beam design eliminates mechanically rotating X-ray tubes at the source level. System operation becomes independent of traditional continuous mechanical movement.
Modular system integration
The Stretta Integrated System combines tube, control electronics and high voltage power sources. Each subsystem is designed for scalable integration into different CT platforms.
Realtime 3D imaging
Electronic beam sequencing enables volumetric image acquisition without mechanical source rotation. This supports real-time imaging workflows in dynamic and interventional environments.
